Custom Film Lamination

At Golden Eagle Extrusions, Inc., we provide custom film laminations designed for the food, food container, beverage, industrial, and medical industries. Our capabilities include high speed and high capacity lamination as well as short run service, as needed. Our flexible packaging lamination is performed using a two-component, solventless, polyurethane adhesive process. Once cured, the adhesive is clear, odor free and safe to use for food packaging. Solventless adhesives are compatible with a wide range of film materials and packaging substrates, including LLDPE, PET, metallized PET, Polypropylene, Nylon, Foil, among numerous others.

Custom Film Lamination

Films are laminated using CNC processes at speeds of up to 1,300 feet per minute, allowing us to turn around projects quickly. Our comprehensive laminating equipment includes two Enercon corona treaters to convert low surface energy films and to ensure a perfect bond every time. We also use chilled and heated rollers during production to help with bond strength, film flexibility and machineability. A modified cleanroom, complete with three filtered exhausts, can also be used for specialty production. Products ranging from 16”-59” in web width, up to 40” in OD and weights up to 2,200 lbs. per roll can be laminated on our machine. We can produce films with up to four layers that are applied in a three pass system.

Full lab services are available to verify bond strength, peel strength, lamination thickness, etc. In addition, we can provide a certificate of analysis for each shipment and all materials are manufactured following GMP’s and HACCP quality controls. Documentation to conform to all regulatory compliance and customer standards can be provided as required and lead times typically average 2-3 weeks.
